CULTURAL EDUCATION WORK
Picture
MFYP have years of experience delivering cultural education to both primary and secondary schools. We are also commissioned by our partner organisations to deliver such education and receive a positive response.

We can explore:
Identity, Diversity, Black History Month, Diwali, Asian culture, Jewish history, English heritage, Eid and Ramadan.

Pupils can expect the following objectives:
  • Play musical instruments (Learn its history and significance to culture)
  • Taste food and drink from other countries
  • Learn from diverse practitioners & ask questions
  • Listen and DJ cultural music
  • Write poems and record to CD
  • Learn cultural dance such as Bollywood or African dance
  • Create unique art pieces based around the cultures and heritage
  • Improve knowledge and understanding of our multi-cultural world
Testimonial:
All of our pupils have very much enjoyed the arts project with MFYP. They now have a good understanding of identity and how the different aspects of their own identities make who they are.

The work produced has ranged from poetry based on stereotypes, canvas design, CD recording and graffiti art. The final piece producing a mural has undoubtedly been their favorite, they just could not wait to spray paint. The team has been fabulous and came to know the children really well. They are highly skilled experts, with great enthusiasm, which has inspired the pupils in producing fantastic work.

Highly recommended and thank you.
