ISSUE BASED WORK
Picture

There are many factors that contribute to this and play a role in child development and the transitioning period from childhood to adulthood.
Young people face many issues throughout their lives, which can ultimately affect their personal, social and emotional development.
Some of these factors include:
Influence/peer pressure (negative choices and decisions)
Risky behaviour (both in school and the community)
Relationships with others (friends, partners and sexual behaviour)
Education (health and future prospects)
Family (circumstances and background)

MFYP has a youth work centred approach and we strive to maintain this throughout our work. We aim to address potential issues with preventative and interventional approaches and work closely to support our partners.

We are able to deliver any issue-‐ based project and tailor our work to meet your requirements. If you have something in mind please inform us and we will adapt our work to suit. All of these projects are ideal for schools, youth establishments and those working with challenging young people.

Our issue based projects also link into the Every Child Matters National Framework, which is 5 universal outcomes that every child and young person are to meet, whatever their circumstances.  (Download here)

1)  Be Healthy
2)  Stay Safe
3)  Enjoy and Achieve
4)  Make a positive contribution
5)  Achieve economic well-being
